Handmade Pottery Fruit Bowl / Serving Bowl in Botanical Cream - 27 cm

A truly fabulous earthenware fruit bowl or serving bowl in a good size and depth, expertly handmade and hand decorated.  Designed on the Welsh borders and made in the EU, these beautiful handmade pottery bowls have been expertly hand finished using century old techniques. Intricately cut sponges are dipped in pigment coloured oxides and then pressed onto the earthenware pottery. These same techniques date back to the the early to late 19th century. 

The base colour is a glazed vintage cream decorated with small pink flowers with olive green stems and leaves.  The rim and base of the bowl are hand finished with a neat blue edging.  It is slightly elevated by a small footed base.

A very versatile bowl which would also look lovely planted up with seasonal bulbs.  A very lovely gift for someone special.
