Here is some information about the Curlew:

The curlew is the largest European wading bird It is instantly recognisable on winter estuaries or summer moors by its long, downcurved bill, brown upperparts, long legs and it's evocative call.  They can be seen around the whole UK coastline and they eat worms, shellfish and shrimps.
